Even though we’re all slowly going back into society, most of our days are still spent at home, probably watching movies and TV in our free time. Below is a list of series we at FC are big fans of and recommend you try out as well! Coincidentally, all of them either have female showrunners or are based on stories written by women. We’ve also included our favorite, comfy outfits to sport while you get caught up on these amazing shows!
1. Killing Eve

The series follows Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh), a British intelligence investigator tasked with capturing psychopathic assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer). As the chase progresses, the two develop a mutual obsession. This award-winning cat-and-mouse spy dramady is on its third season already, so if you haven’t seen it yet, what are you waiting for? It’s brilliantly funny, dark, and twisted, and it features some seriously fabulous outfits worn by Villanelle.
2. Little Fires Everywhere

Little Fires Everywhere dares to ask the tough questions which we all should be asking ourselves now. 3. Normal People
Available on Hulu
The series, based on the novel of the same name by Sally Rooney, follows the complex relationship between Marianne and Connell as they navigate adulthood from their final days of highschool to their undergraduate years at Trinity College. The pair weave in and out of each other's lives across their university years developing an intense bond that brings to light the traumas and insecurities that make them both who they are. If you’re a sucker for romance this series will both satisfy you and break you. It’s definitely worth a watch though.
4. Mrs. America
Available on Amazon Prime
Mrs. America is loosely based on the story of the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment and the unexpected backlash led by conservative Phyllis Schlafly, who is skillfully portrayed by the amazing Cate Blanchett. The series explores how one of the toughest battlegrounds in the culture wars of the 70s helped give rise to the Moral Majority and shifted the American political landscape. Mrs. America also stars Rose Byrne, Uzo Aduba, Elizabeth Banks, and Sarah Paulson.
