We were founded in 1972 and set out with the aim to create design-led, fashionable clothing. Today, we design contemporary clothing, accessories and homeware – everything you need in one destination. Signature dresses, responsible denim and relaxed staples are what we do best, so expect compliments. We offer eco-conscious pieces and accessible, quality products that stand the test of time, giving you confidence to look and feel your best every day.
In more recent years we have also expanded our portfolio into new exciting areas including men’s and women’s toiletries, sunglasses and opticals, watches, footwear and a growing range of furniture and home accessories.
Where did it all start? The abbreviation FCUK was born after Trevor Beattie visited the French Connection offices and noticed the abbreviation FCHK on an internal memo, standing for French Connection Hong Kong. From this, Beattie suggested the brand use FCUK, standing for French Connection United Kingdom. In the spring of ’97 a controversial ad campaign featuring the simple line ‘fcuk fashion’ hit the headlines becoming a universally recognised great fashion moment and the rest as they say, is history.

Our French Connection stores are an extension of the brand aesthetic. Clean, minimalist design that is sensitive to each unique location; enhancing and complementing the product offering.
All elements, including staff and store design, work together to create a shopping experience which best reflects the our brand. Visual merchandising is integral to all store layouts, creating a display that draws our customer’s attention, without overpowering the product. Our windows reflect all that’s best about the brand, its attitude and style whilst acting as a showcase for the collection.
Throughout the season, our windows work in partnership with the ever-evolving fashion collections and the advertising campaigns, interpreting the themes into award-winning window displays. These themes are implemented globally, showcasing a consistent brand message worldwide.
Opened in 2019, our concept store on Duke Street in London’s famous shopping district offers a unique shopping experience. Complete with an on-site photographic studio, apparel designed exclusively for this store and artisan coffee from our on-site coffee shop. Each area within the store has its own studio space, from Women’s & Men’s fashion, Home & Lifestyle collections to a carefully curated selection of books and magazines.

ADVERTISING & MARKETING
Building on our British heritage and international presence, we work on key advertising initiatives to promote and support the iconic French Connection brand worldwide. Our seasonal collections are supported with a mix of traditional print advertising in style publications such as ELLE, Grazia and Stylist. In addition to print media, digital display activity and outdoor advertising supports and extends the campaign reach. Everything from digital screens in London tube stations to branded rickshaws, we aim to make an impact wherever you see the brand.
With a combined reach of over 1m, our social media channels continue to engage a socially driven audience on a daily basis. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels showcase the latest products and influencer collaborations with all social campaigns exciting and engaging followers. The brand hashtag #myFC encourages influencers and customers to share their French Connection pieces and inspire others with their outfit choices. The French Connection blog; Our Community, is a source of inspirational content and offers an escapism into the French Connection world.
We have expanded successfully into complementing licensed products including both men’s and women’s toiletries and fragrances, watches, jewellery, eyewear and furniture. Our Design and Licensing teams work closely with carefully selected partners to develop and enhance products.
We offer an extensive selection of innovative and stylish sunglasses for both men and women. In addition to the mainline collection, the Premium range showcases hand-made styles using acetate and other luxury materials, while the FCUK Sport collection combines performance materials with functional silhouettes.
French Connection and FCUK optical frames are created with UK opticians, Specsavers. Our frames reflect the effortlessly chic aesthetic of our apparel collection, applying simple colour combinations and understated branding to a variety of elegant designs. Meanwhile, the FCUK range blends fun and flirty elements with the youthful nature of the FCUK brand to create unique styles.
In collaboration with furniture retailer DFS, we have developed a range of sofas that combines contemporary design techniques for a classic take on modern seating.
Exclusively for the American market, we produce a range of soft furnishings, in partnership with Creative Home Ideas. This includes bedding - a collection which comes in specialised prints, woven fabrics and embroidered techniques, making it the perfect finishing touch to a bedroom. Our soft furnishings also encompass pillows, rugs, bathmats, towels, table accessories as well as window and shower curtains.
We set out to design a range of men’s suiting which is contemporary yet accessible. Available at Moss Bros and French Connection stores nationwide as well as online, we’re aiming to ensure that every man has the perfect suit for any occasion.
French Connection watches are as stylish as they are sophisticated. Offering timepieces produced with ICW for men and women and showcasing innovative craftsmanship, our range complements the fashion-forward personality of our clothing collections.
French Connection outerwear balances practicality with style extremely well. Our outerwear collection is produced with Rothschild consists of puffers, packable down pieces and anoraks as the best performing categories.
French Connection offers a premium luggage collection produced with Travellers Club Luggage, at an attainable price point, whilst the FCUK collection attracts a younger and more urban customer.
TOILETRIES & GIFTING
In partnership with Boots, each Christmas we release new men’s gift packs which are accompanied by a bespoke FCUK accessory. Following the success of our giftsets, we rolled out our year-round toiletries – including body spray and body washes across our signature fragrances; Sport, Vintage, Urban and Style.
Perfumers Philippe Romano and Corinne Cachen are responsible for our new French Connection Femme and Homme fragrances, produced by Interparfum. Using the inspiration of ‘opposites attract’ to accentuate passion and romance, this fragrance duo is a modern update to our toiletries offering.
French Connection offers a premium range of bodycare products with new and indulgent formulas. Drawing packaging inspiration from French Connection Home, our range brings effortless and timeless style to any bathroom.
Exclusive to the US, through a partnership with Gelmart, French Connection intimates are elegant, timeless and feminine and are the perfect pieces to make any woman feel confident. Plus, FCUK offers a line of comfortable basics with a street style finish at the forefront of their design.
The French Connection hosiery collection includes sustainably sourced boot socks, as well as fashion pieces complete with bright colour pops. Our hosiery features moisture and sweat wicking properties as well as cushioned support and seamless stitching for a super-soft finish.
