Last Tuesday, French Connection Creative Director, Maria Chen, was in New York City to host French Connection’s first NYFW runway show.
The scene, Chelsea’s High Line Hotel, transported you to a Parisian sidewalk café and created an intimate backdrop for our SS19 collection, inspired by the world traveler in all of us. Guests took their seats at small café tables and invited to view the show as if they were people watching on any of Europe’s most well-dressed side streets.
Greenery surrounded the space and gone were the bustling sounds of the city and in their place, the captivating voice of up-and-coming singer/songwriter Morgan Saint, who’s live performance gave the show an air of romance and enchantment that won’t soon be forgotten.
The collection itself featured beautifully constructed wardrobe staples, such as statement-making jackets, every day denim, and flowy pieces perfect for a spring afternoon. Florals and plaid decorated the collection and brought the perfect touch of fun and whimsy to the sophisticated silhouettes.
Ahead, check out some of our favorite snaps and looks from the event...
