FRENCH CONNECTION FRIDAY LATE AT THE V&A

As of Friday 25th April, French Connection became the title sponsor of the V&A Friday Lates.

Held on the last Friday of every month, the V&A's programme of French Connection Friday Late events explores contemporary ideas ranging across fashion, design, music, art and performance. The cutting-edge events will include live performances, installations, workshops, debates, lectures, tours and temporary displays. This is the first time the V&A have signed a long term sponsor for one of its programmes.

French Connection wanted to create a long-term platform which compliments the existing brand campaign yet enables the brand to target consumers on a more personal, interactive level. This sponsorship forms part of an ongoing strategy to influence the influencers and with a growing synonymous relationship between fashion and art this partnership is a natural direction for the brand to take.

27th March: MAD HATTERS

In March, French Connection Friday Late will celebrate the world of hats and millinery inspired by the V&A's exhibition Hats an Anthology by Stephen Jones. On the evening there will be a special, late view of the exhibition until 21.30, hat making workshops, talks on fashion and millinery - including Stephen Jones on his work and inspirations - and a parade of hats produced by well known designers including Simon Costin and Rob Ryan. French Connection and i-D Magazine will co-host an Easter Bonnet Parade of paper hats made by leading designers from pages of the magazine. The most creative design will be selected by a panel of judges including Stephen Jones, V&A fashion curator Oriole Cullen and representatives from i-D and French Connection
